Istanbul International Community School educates expat students ages 3-18 (holders of non-Turkish passports). IICS is the only preschool-grade 12 international school in Istanbul fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization for all 3 IB programs and globally accredited by ECIS and NEASC. IICS, founded in 1911, is one of the oldest international schools in the world, originally founded to educate the children of Robert College's foreign professors. The name of IICS was originally Robert College Community School from 1911 until 1979, when it was changed to its current name, Istanbul International Community School. IICS is located on two campuses: one campus in Rumeli Hisari for ages 3-9, and a purpose-built campus in Hadımkoy for ages 3-18.
