The high school program at IICS is accredited by CIS and NEASC and awards a globally recognized US diploma upon completion of 26 credits from Grades 9 to 12. The main subjects include Science, Social Studies, English, Language Acquisition, Physical Education, Mathematics, and a variety of elective courses. IICS is assisted by the US Office of Overseas Schools through the US State Department, ensuring that our diploma is apostilled in the United States and valid worldwide.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) emphasizes both breadth and depth of knowledge, allowing students to excel in traditional academic subjects while exploring the nature of knowledge through its unique Theory of Knowledge course. The programme promotes intellectual, emotional, and ethical growth, fostering a comprehensive development that prepares students to succeed academically, through its rigorous curriculum and exams. Additionally, studying at least two languages enhances linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding, equipping students with the skills needed for a globalized world.

Our Innovation Diploma is designed to inspire learning through real-life innovation and application, global exchanges with top international schools, dual enrollment courses assisted by prestigious universities, and rigorous AP courses and exams. Our program emphasizes practical experiences, entrepreneurship opportunities that foster creativity and initiative, and a focus on meaningful learning that equips students with the skills and agency to tackle real-world challenges. This holistic approach prepares students for academic success and cultivates leadership, collaboration, and a global perspective, empowering them to impact their communities and beyond.
Beyond the Classroom
We offer numerous learning experiences beyond the classroom, including after-school athletics, student-led clubs, PTA events, field trips, overnight camps, and cultural expeditions. Our Türkiye Cultural and Connections Class Trips Program is designed to help students build meaningful connections with each other and our host country. During this week, all secondary students travel on curated trips to different areas of Türkiye, engaging in service learning and cultural experiences that enhance their international mindedness and cross-cultural connections.

A Safe Environment That Promotes Learning
Our Secondary School campus, located on 16 hectares north of Istanbul, is purpose-built to promote a holistic learning experience. It features digital and product design studios, art, music, and dance studios, podcast, film, and recording studios, a full theater, a black box theater, an amphitheater, two full gyms, a cardio/weight room, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, a professional-sized football pitch, a state-of-the-art library, a cafeteria and cafe, multipurpose rooms, a full-time health center, student learning pods, four science laboratories, and dynamic classrooms. Additionally, it offers outdoor learning spaces in a green and safe environment.
CEESA – European Conference Of Sports & Activities
Our school is the only school in Türkiye that is a full member of the Central & Eastern European School Association, placing us in an elite group of international schools. We compete in numerous sports tournaments, including football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and cross country. We also participate in academic competitions like math olympics, knowledge bowl, speech and debate, and robotics, as well as cultural festivals such as choir, theater, and band, across over 20 European countries. Additionally, we are also founding members of the Turkish International School League where we compete with other international schools in Türkiye. We have middle school teams for grades 6-8 and high school teams for grades 9-12 and our athletics and activities teams participate in three different seasons: Fall, Winter, & Spring.
